ABOUT US

Sky Tronic is a advanced technologies and “spin-off” company operating in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) industry, established by researchers of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, graduates of Wroclaw University of Economics and the Institute of Technology Transfer, the company managing the intellectual property of Wrocław University of Science and Technology. The company’s operations are based on the original fuzzy logic algorithms developed by two researchers of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology in Poland: Boguslaw Szlachetko, PhD and Michal Lower, PhD, who are also initiators and main shareholders of Sky Tronic.

The innovative fuzzy logic control systems should improve the safety and stability of the flights of UAV of global UAV producers, because our controller is more resistant to intereference of difficult weather and terrain conditions as well as the properties of UAV than the classic control system based on proportional integral derivatives (PID). Classic linear PID controllers are inadequate for nonlinear objects such as unmanned aerial vehicles, because they are too simple and cannot accommodate unpredictable events such as strong gust of wind or dropping the cargo that can strongly destabilize and break down the drone. Our fuzzy logic controller system does not need calibration procedures on ground as PID controller and indicates faster return to flight specifications necessary for stable and smooth flight. The fuzzy logic rules are determined by the pilot-in-command to observe and steer more precisely the flying object exactly as human braun using rules of artificial intelligence such as: lean the drone more/less.

Our autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles are dedicated to more efficient coordination of public safety and life rescue operations of mountain and water rescue agencies, police, fire department, border control and forest services. The products can also be used for the inspection and monitoring of construction sites, ski runs, ski resorts, cable cars as well as the surveillance of the areas threatened by natural disasters and thermal inspections of heat losses in tall buildings. Our UAV solutions are intended to make search and rescue missions a lot quicker and cheaper than existing helicopters. The system is capable of finding the lost, injuried and snow avalanche victims faster.
